「ロバ」を分かち持つ:現代モロッコにおける参加型の芸術実践に関する考察

Sharing the "Donkey": Reflections on Participatory Art Practice in Contemporary Morocco

石明美 · Mingmei SHI · Waseda University, Tokyo

An anthropological analysis of the Hmar Tahouna theatrical project. The article examines how director Salah Charef reinterprets the pejorative term "Hmar" (donkey) through participatory theater — transforming an insult into a device for narrating collective social reality. It explores the "zriba" (livestock shed) as both physical stage and methodology, the rejection of proscenium hierarchy in favour of the "harqa" circular Moroccan collective form, and how the project name itself becomes a shared identity among participants.

Hmar Tahouna — Présentation 1ère Édition

Hmar Tahouna — First Edition Presentation

Hicham Elamili · Hmar Tahouna

A literary and philosophical introduction to the first edition of Hmar Tahouna. Frames the project as a "cri de détresse" carrying the voice of a Morocco seeking self-definition — a nation navigating identity, religious, economic, post-colonial and pan-African challenges. References Michel Onfray's definition of "the people" and draws a parallel to Shakespeare's Bottom, while emphasising the refusal of young Moroccans to passively undergo history.

Hmar Tahouna — German Project Text

Antonia Beeg · Hmar Tahouna

Formal five-page project documentation in German presenting the philosophical and structural foundations of Hmar Tahouna. Emphasises three levels of focus: social community cohesion, reflective engagement with socio-political content, and harmonious teamwork as prerequisite for processing sensitive topics on stage with humour. Details the "philosophical idea mill" concept and the conditions that allow participants to discuss taboo subjects safely.

بين الزريبة وزيت الكلام: تجربة "حمار الطاحونة" حين يعصر الفن وعي الواقع

Between the Zriba and the Oil of Words: The "Hmar Tahouna" Experience — When Art Presses the Awareness of Reality

محمد القاسمي · Mohamed Al-Qasimi

A semiological and sociological analysis of the Hmar Tahouna experience. The study approaches Salah Charef's project as an artistic practice that breaks with classical theatrical frameworks, transforming "performance" into a genuine act of pressing collective consciousness. It examines the "zriba" (livestock shed) as a semiological space replacing the traditional stage, and the chant "Turn, oh donkey, turn" as the founding gesture that breaks classical rules.
